Heart Sutra
This is the mountain called Ryojusen in India. Buddha began to enter meditation. Sharipu, a disciple of Buddha, asked the Kannon Bodhisattva. "Please tell me how to practice Prajna Haramita." The Kannon Bodhisattva began to advise him.
The Kannon Bodhisattva found that all of our minds and bodies(five Skandhas) were empty at Prajna Haramita. It freed him from all suffering and calamity.
Everything you see is insubstantial. For example, if you have a delicious fruit in front of you, it will shrivel and rot over time. It doesn't mean that it wasn't there from the beginning, even though it changed shape. In this way everything keeps changing. The same applies to "sensation, perception, mental formation, and conciusness." Everything is insubstantial.
All matter and phenomena in this world are empty. So they are not born or lost. They are neither dirty nor clean, nor do they increase or decrease.
The lack of five skandhas means that there are no six sense organs (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, mind). No eyes means no shape and color. No ears means no sound. No nose means no scent. No tongue means no flavour. No body means no physical feeling. No mind means no mental presentation.
There is no worry in the empty world. There is no wordly desires in the empty world. So you don't have to worry about wordly desires. There is no worry of aging or dying. There are no causes or consequences of suffering. You don't even need a way to get rid of your suffering. There is no selfish "wisdom". Therefore, there is no selfish enlightenment.
The Kannon Bodhisattva told him(Sharipu). " I am no longer particular about anything. And I am no longer afraid of anything. I get away from all the hesitation and entered the state of mind called "Nirvana"".
All the Buddhas of the past, present and future have been enlightened by the Prajnaparamita. You should know a Great Mantra,the most illuminating mantra,the highest mantra. And it's a remarkable mantra that can put an end to all kinds of suffering. |
||
Let me tell you the wonderful mantra. Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva. Heart Sutra |
||
I am copying the Heart Sutra for myself. It makes me happy. This is my personal translation of the Heart Sutra. I would be grateful if you could tell me your translation. Thank you very much. |
